Sigma Energy Solutions

Sigma Energy Solutions (Sigma) as an entity began as a scientific and engineering services group of the Queensland electricity Industry in the 1970s. At that time Sigma’s task was to provide services exclusively to the Queensland electricity industry. During the 1980's the delivery of the services was extended to encompass the whole of Australia. During the 1990's many of our power generation customers were either privatised or corporatised and the focus of Sigma became more commercially orientated. With the restructure of the electricity industry during the late 1990s Sigma Process Solutions was annexed into its own company structure and became a separate company owned by CS Energy.

In April 2003 ALSTOM Power Australia recognised the unique and highly capable resource that existed within this specialist group and negotiated the purchase of Sigma Process Solutions. Sigma Energy Solutions Pty Limited in Australia, as it is today, was therefore created.

In May 2005, Sigma Energy Solutions Inc. in the USA was formed via the purchase of the non-nuclear business unit of Framatome ANP, formerly part of Duke Engineering & Services (DE&S), with principal offices in Melville, NY, Naperville, IL and Windsor, CT.

With this presence in the USA and the significant growth within Australia, Sigma has been transformed into a globally capable company focussing on delivering technology and practical bottom line solutions to our wide range of customers.
