To maintain a work environment where health and safety risks are pro-actively managed as part of our every day business, aiming towards a workforce free of occupational injury and illness.
Scope
This policy applies to the management of health and safety risks for all Sigma Energy Solutions workplaces and business activities.
Policy Outline
Comply with statutory obligations; - Ensure a consistent pro-active approach to managing health and safety across all locations;
- Respect our people’s right to work in an environment where they feel risks are adequately controlled;
- Consult and communicate with employees and stakeholders;
- Educate our people in risk management;
- Promote the health and wellbeing of our people;
- Measure health and safety performance; and
- Review policy annually and make it available to all people working at Sigma Energy Solutions.
Responsibilities
General Manager
- Ensure that processes are in place to ensure the health and safety of all people working at Sigma Energy Solutions
- Provide leadership and strategic direction
- Monitor the performance of the health and safety risk management systems across Sigma Energy Solutions.
Management Team
- Provide leadership and support to ensure communication, continuous improvement and implementation of health and safety policy and systems.
- Workplace Health and Safety Officer
- Develop and implement the health and safety risk management systems
- Provide risk, health and safety advice to all people working at Sigma Energy Solutions
- Co-ordinate performance management and reporting of the health and safety risk management systems.
H&S Committee Members
- Actively participate in promoting health and safety.
Employees, Visitors and Sub-contractors - Comply with the requirements of the health and safety risk management systems
- Remain alert and responsive to potential health and safety risks.
Sigma Energy Solutions people will not compromise safe working practices for commercial expediency.
