Anthony B. DeCristofaro, P.E. – Director of Engineering

Mr. DeCristofaro is the Director of Engineering at Sigma Energy Solutions with over 22 years experience in the energy and infrastructure sector.  Mr. DeCristofaro has held various technical and management positions at prominent energy sector institutions including Duke Energy, ABB, Alstom and Areva, where he was involved in the development, design and due diligence of power stations, electrical transmission and distribution systems, natural gas networks, and other infrastructure projects and assets.  In total, he has been involved in the support of well over 100 power generation (including fossil-fueled, hydro, solar, biomass and other renewables), transmission and distribution networks, development projects, acquisitions and financings.  More recently, Mr. DeCristofaro has worked as a Director at Abatis Capital and AllCapital and was involved in the valuation, risk assessment and screening of energy facility investments and performed commercial contract negotiations for U.S. power facilities.  Mr. DeCristofaro holds a current Professional Engineering license in New York State and a Bachelor of Science from Polytechnic Institute of New York University.

Peter M Kelly, P.E. - Chief Electrical and I&C Engineer

Mr. Kelly, Chief Electrical and I&C Engineer, is the technical lead responsible for the Electrical Engineering and design and Instrumentation & Controls Engineering and design for Sigma Energy Solutions.  He has been involved in all phases of electrical and I&C power plant engineering for fossil powered and nuclear powered facilities.  He has also been responsible for design engineering studies of power plant repowering for plants up to 1000 MW power plant; transmission line studies related to power plant siting; control systems upgrades of oil and gas fired power plant; and numerous evaluations of in-plant electrical distribution systems.  Mr. Kelly was responsible for electrical and I&C upgrades to resource recovery facilities (Waste to Energy), combined cycle power plants (GE 7FA and Siemens Units) and simple cycle gas turbine power plants (GE 7EA and LM 6000).  Mr. Kelly has also been responsible for engineering, specifying, evaluating and implementing PLC and DCS control system upgrades and designs of new control systems for fossil and nuclear power plants, cogeneration facilities and other energy conversion facilities.  Mr. Kelly is an author of three published technical papers.  Mr. Kelly earned a Bachelor of Engineering from Manhattan College and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University.  Mr. Kelly is a registered electrical engineer in several states.

Roger A. Martinsen, P.E. - Chief Mechanical Engineer

Roger Martinsen is the Chief Mechanical Engineer at Sigma Energy Solution with over 30 years of experience in the engineering and design of fossil fueled power generating stations.  Mr. Martinsen’s experience ranges from plants firing coal, gas, oil and refuse; and the type of plants range from conventional high pressure steam powered condensing steam turbine generating stations, waste to energy plants, gas turbine generator combined cycle plants, cogeneration plants utilizing gas turbine generators with backpressure steam turbine generators and to simple cycle gas turbine generators.  Mr. Martinsen’s experience spans from the conceptual design phase, through the detail engineering and design phase, and on to the construction management/startup and commissioning phase. Recent experience has been focused on projects involving gas turbines for combined cycle, cogeneration, and simple cycle plants. The gas turbine based plants range in size from a 13 MW combined cycle plant to 500/1000 + MW combined cycle plants.  The most recent project is for a fully engineered and designed plant, which is a just completed simple cycle plant based on a General Electric LM-6000 gas turbine generator.  Mr. Martinsen earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering Mechanics from Hofstra University, an MS Degree in Mechanical Engineering from New York University and an MBA Degree from Adelphi University.  He is also a registered Professional Engineer in the states of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, California, Maryland, Delaware, Minnesota, Alaska, Arizona, and Louisiana.

Gary W. Petric, P.E. - Director of Project Management & Support Services

Mr. Petric is the Director of the Project Management team at Sigma with more than 32 years of experience in the analysis, project engineering, design and management of projects related to fossil fueled utility and industrial facilities.  His present responsibilities include providing direction to the project management team on Sigma engineering power projects relative to project execution, scope and cost controls, schedule control/monitoring, and coordinating overall client interface. He has held positions as Senior Project Manager, Technical Manager, Project Engineer, and Owner’s Engineer for major power and industrial projects.  Mr. Petric’s experience includes design and study efforts on coal, gas, oil, naphtha, and wood-fired power and steam generation facilities, as well as waste-to-energy and cogeneration facilities. These projects include traditional large utility power generation facilities and combustion turbine based power generation facilities. He has also assisted in due diligence efforts for both new and existing power generating facilities.  Mr. Petric holds a current Professional Engineering license in several states and a Bachelor of Science from Purdue University.
